While the two Atlantic Division rivals have been in comparable form this term, Detroit have missed the playoffs for nine straight seasons while Florida have reached the Stanley Cup Finals three years in a row, winning it all the last two years.

Sam Reinhart scored on the powerplay and on the penalty kill against Philadelphia and he has been peppering opposition goalies, firing at least three shots on goal in all four games this season.
