The Penguins are tied for second-most road victories (five) in the NHL going into Monday night, as they get off to an 8-3-2 start to the 2025-’26 season and sit in a tie for first place in the East’s Metropolitan Division. Pittsburgh is tasked, though, with getting back on track after falling on the road to Winnipeg (5-2) on Saturday as part of a five-game stretch that has featured three losses and plenty of miles logged on its current four-game road swing. The Pens will look to rally as firm betting underdogs (+145) in Toronto.
While the Leafs are near the bottom of a tight pack of teams in the Atlantic Division with their 6-5-1 record, they have been solid on their home ice with a 5-2-1 mark at Scotiabank Arena, where they are set to play their next four straight contests. Toronto also has momentum on its side, winning three of its past four games, highlighted by a 5-2 road win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.
