Kings – Corey Perry: Perry scored two goals in Thursday’s comeback effort against Detroit, burying twice with the Kings skating 6-on-5 to force overtime, after the Kings went down 3-1. Perry’s goals were his fourth and fifth of the season, tying him with Adrian Kempe and Kevin Fiala for the team lead. Among the 563 players with at least 75 minutes played this season, Perry leads the entire NHL in goals per/60 at 3.48.
Devils – Jack Hughes: New Jersey center Jack Hughes enters tonight’s action tied for the NHL lead with nine goals scored this season. Hughes is one of six players around the league with nine goals to date and he also leads the Devils with 15 points. Hughes had three points (1-2-3) from two games played against the Kings last season, including his only career goal versus Los Angeles in nine games played.
