The Penguins have started the season on fire after multiple years of playoff misses, and while it’s still early in the season, they are only one point shy of leading the NHL in points. Crosby and Malkin have been a major part of their success to this point, but it has still been a team effort. This Penguins group is looking to make a playoff push this season as they balance their young players in the lineup and their veterans.
The Toronto Maple Leafs had a weak October, and now that the baseball season has ended (in heartbreaking fashion), eyes will begin to shift more towards what the Leafs accomplish. It is not uncommon for the Leafs to struggle in October and then turn things around in November, and they will look to do the same this season, with a 1-0 record so far in November. The Leafs will look to build on their first win of November as the team shows signs of chemistry building.

The Penguins have had a lot of success with their young players and additions, but a major surprise and bright spot so far this season has been Anthony Mantha. Mantha has been producing at a high rate with 11 points in 13 games and will look to continue building on his success against Toronto, while paired with a surging Malkin and also seeing time on Pittsburgh’s second power play unit.
William Nylander has had a fairly healthy regular-season history, but this year that hasn’t been the case. Nylander has missed three of the last four games, but will be in Toronto’s lineup tonight. Nylander has produced quite well so far this season, and will look to stay healthy and continue building a successful season for himself as the team’s best winger. Look for Nylander to drive offense tonight, alongside Tavares and Cowan.

The Boston Bruins enter the 2025-26 season in the midst of a rebuild and a roster filled with a superstar, a few good veterans, and a mix of younger players trying to capture a spot in training camp. The Bruins have had a prospect pool that has been dead last in some rankings over the […]
