Dylan Strome scored in his return to the Capitals’ lineup on Saturday against the Buffalo Sabres, opening the scoring just 1:07 into the contest. Strome, who had missed Washington’s previous two games, has recorded 11 points (3g, 8a) in 10 games this season. The 28-year-old pivot leads the Capitals in assists and ranks second on the team in points, behind only Tom Wilson (6g-7a–13p in 12 GP). Strome (149g-246a–395p in 528 GP) enters this week five points shy of 400 career points. The Capitals host the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday at Capital One Arena, before kicking off a four-game road trip to Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Carolina and Florida.
Since joining Washington ahead of the 2022-23 season, Strome ranks first on the Capitals in games played (255), assists (143), and points (225), and second in goals (82).
