The Detroit Red Wings begin their California road trip on Thursday night, as they get set to face the Los Angeles Kings.
The Red Wings are in the midst of a five-game road trip, which kicked off on Tuesday night. After a valiant comeback was needed to beat the St. Louis Blues on home ice last Saturday, Detroit managed to put together a more convincing effort against the Blues in a 5-2 victory on Tuesday.
Captain Dylan Larkin continues to pace the team’s scoring attack, having scored 16 points in 10 games, including three on Tuesday night in St. Louis.
Now, the team enters the Golden State, taking on a Kings team that has been solid thus far, but has expectations of finally winning a playoff series. Los Angeles has won back-to-back games, including a victory over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday, and four of the team’s last five.
