Ivan Demidov’s Calder Trophy odds lead has evaporated, with the New York Islanders’ Matthew Schaefer proving why he was chosen as the No. 1 pick in the 2025 draft.
Schaefer tied the record for most consecutive games (6) with a point for rookie defensemen, and he leads the Islanders in ice time. While Demidov is also living up to the hype, he is no longer the undisputed favorite thanks to Schaefer’s brilliance. Another Canadien, goaltender Jakub Dobes, is also among the Calder Trophy odds front-runners.
The Calder Trophy odds are updated in real time.
