Kings vs Golden Knights Best bet: Mitch Marner Over 0.5 assists (-130)
Mitch Marner will put on his new threads for the first time tonight as the Vegas Golden Knights kick off their campaign. The superstar joined Vegas via sign-and-trade this offseason after spending his entire career with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The veteran was nothing short of outstanding last season with Toronto. Marner averaged 2.13 shots on goal per game in 2024-25 while scoring 27 goals and assisting on 75. He’s always been a wonderful playmaker, and I don’t see that changing in Vegas.
Last season, Marner lit up the Los Angeles Kings. Across two meetings, he registered four helpers. While Marner can absolutely score the puck, his bread-and-butter is creating opportunities for his teammates.
Los Angeles lost 4-1 on Tuesday to the Colorado Avalanche, showcasing defensive vulnerability. Marner will do his part this evening.
While Marner is going to step in and be one of the main guys for the Golden Knights, you cannot forget Jack Eichel’s importance. The veteran led this team with 94 points last season and was third in goals, netting 28. He should benefit from Marner’s playmaking.
Kevin Fiala was the lone bright spot in Tuesday’s defeat to the Avs, scoring L.A.’s only goal. Fiala scored 35 goals last season, setting a career-high.
Fiala produced in four meetings with the Golden Knights last season as well, scoring twice and tallying three helpers. A second straight contest with a goal to begin the campaign is very possible for Fiala, who also had three SOG on Tuesday.
The Golden Knights have hit the Under in 41 of their last 69 games (+12.95 Units / 17% ROI). Find more NHL betting trends for Kings vs. Golden Knights.
