Oilers vs Senators Best bet: Oilers moneyline (-130)
There hasn’t been much to write home about for the Edmonton Oilers during their road trip. The Oil have dropped three straight with a -6 goal differential, after all.
Still, Edmonton has a championship-caliber lineup jumping the boards, and superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl can lead the way to victory more nights than not.
The Ottawa Senators aren’t exactly stringing wins together, either. Not only are they a discouraging 2-4 while allowing the most goals per game in the league, they’re also missing captain Brady Tkachuk (thumb), and No. 1 goalie Linus Ullmark sports a confidence-shattering .848 SV% and 3.99 GAA, with 6.25 goals saved below expected through five games.
Additionally, while there are pieces in place, the Senators don’t have the star talent or supporting cast to match the Oilers’ lineup from start to finish.
Edmonton heads west in winning fashion tonight.

Despite the highlighted defensive struggles for Ottawa, the Senators aren’t going to be giving up five a game all season, and Ullmark will also tidy up his own game. I’m also anticipating both the Sens and the Oil to pay particular attention to defensive detail tonight.
Edmonton is 1-3-1 to the Under across its past five, too.
McDavid has been solid but unspectacular to start the season with seven helpers through six games. He’s failed to find the back of the net despite registering 2.44 individual expected goals and nine individual high-danger scoring chances.
McDavid is priced at +140 at BET99 to find the back of the net, and I’m expecting him to put up a pair of points against Ottawa.
