BOILING SPRINGS – Two 2024 state field hockey runners-up meeting in a Mid-Penn Conference crossover contest Thursday night promised to deliver an interesting and entertaining game.
Northern and Boiling Springs battled down to the wire in a close one at Bud Ecker Field that appeared headed to overtime when Sara Gunning came up with a gem of a play in the waning moments of regulation.
