Get ready, hockey fans — another Kootenay International Junior Hockey League season has arrived.
Twenty-one KIJHL teams will play a 44-game schedule during the regular season with 34 of those games coming against divisional and conference opponents. Three divisions (Doug Birks Division, Eddie Mountain Division and Neil Murdoch Division) will feature five teams, and one division will include six teams (Bill Ohlhausen Division).

The 2025-26 season should be a memorable one, as it will mark the KIJHL’s final run under its current format. Starting in 2026-27, the KIJHL will place its members into Junior A, Tier 1 and Tier 2 leagues.

The 2025-26 KIJHL regular season will begin on Sept. 19 and end on Feb. 28. The KIJHL Playoffs will start on March 6.
