Players to Watch
Kings – Kenny Connors. Connors is skating in his first Rookie Faceoff after playing his last three seasons in the NCAA with UMass. Connors centered the top forward line yesterday, between Ziemmer and Liam Greentree, and also featured on the top power-play unit. He collected an assist in the loss against San Jose and should play a leading role again today, in advance of his first professional season.
Ducks – Stian Solberg. Solberg was selected in the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft by the Ducks, just three picks before the Kings selected Greentree. A native of Norway, Solberg made a huge impact at the 2025 IIHF World Championships, as he scored a hat trick against the United States in a 6-5 overtime loss.
