The Toronto Marlies, the AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, are set to compete in the highly contested North Division.
As one of the top development teams in the league, the Marlies are the place to watch the latest and greatest Maple Leafs prospects as they work their way up through the system.
Rookies Jacob Quillan and Matthew Barbolini were among the rookies that made their mark last season, tallying more than 50 points between the two of them.
Maple Leafs standout William Nylander’s brother Alex Nylander joined the Toronto system in November of 2024, putting up 23 goals and 21 assists last season.

The Toronto Marlies ended their season in the First Round of the 2025 Calder Cup playoffs to the Cleveland Monsters. They finished the regular season 35-26-5-6 with 81 points and 5th in their division.
The head coach of the Toronto Marlies is John Gruden. He has been the coach since July of 2023. He is the eighth coach in the club’s history and was previously an assistant coach with the Boston Bruins and New York Islanders.

The Abbotsford Canucks won the finals of the 2025 Calder Cup playoffs against the Charlotte Checkers in six games. It’s the franchise’s first Calder Cup.
