The Rockford Icehogs, the AHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks, hope to coast further in the Calder Cup Playoffs this season and have a better showing in the Central Division.
The Icehogs finished fifth in the Central Division with 70 points and made it through to the Central Division Semifinals of the Calder Cup, but lost to the Milwaukee Admirals 3-2. They ended the season with a 31-33-6-2 record.
Plenty of talent from the Icehogs have already signed extensions heading into their respective NHL seasons with the Blackhawks, and a new generation of high-speed hitters are on the way in the AHL.

The Rockford Icehogs ended the 2024-2025 season with a 31-33-6-2 record and 70 points in the Central Division.
The head coach for the Rockford Icehogs is Jared Nightingale, who was recently appointed in May of 2025. This season will be his first in the position after spending last season with the South Carolina Stingrays as their head coach.

The Abbotsford Canucks won the finals of the 2025 Calder Cup playoffs against the Charlotte Checkers in six games. It’s the franchise’s first Calder Cup.
