FALMOUTH, Maine — In an exhilarating high school field hockey matchup, the Falmouth Navigators hosted Marshwood on Thursday night. The game was a nail-biter, with Falmouth clinging to a 1-0 lead in the third quarter.
Falmouth's Violet Westburg launched a powerful shot on goal, but Marshwood's goalie, Makayle Coy, made two spectacular saves to keep the score at 1-0. Minutes later, Falmouth's Ani Bush fired another shot on net, only to be thwarted again by Coy's impressive goaltending.
As the game entered the fourth quarter, Falmouth maintained their 1-0 lead. The Navigators continued their offensive push, and Ani Bush finally found the back of the net, securing a 2-1 victory for Falmouth.
