Avalanche vs Blues Picks, Predictions & Odds Tonight – NHL – Covers.com

Nathan MacKinnon is in the midst of a career season as he chases after his first MVP, and he'll be hungry against the Blues. With Nate looking to build on his league-leading 116 points, our NHL picks expect him to fire on all cylinders tonight.
This article contains predictions for an old game!
The Colorado Avalanche skate into tonight’s contest as the huge road favorite at -203 according to NHL odds and will look to extend their win streak to seven games against the St. Louis Blues, who have also won four straight of their own.
If the Avs find any success tonight, it’ll likely be on the back of another strong performance from Nathan MacKinnon, who’s racked up a league-leading 16 points in just seven games this month.
Find out if MacKinnon and his club can keep rolling in my Avalanche vs. Blues free NHL picks for Tuesday, March 19.

Nathan MacKinnon was held to just one assist in the Colorado Avalanche’s 3-2 overtime win against the Oilers on Saturday, but that was enough to extend his point streak to 15 games. The Avalanche star was all over the ice, notching six shots on net in nearly 25 minutes of ice time, and I’ll look for him to cash the Over on 4.5 shots tonight as my best bet.
The Art Ross Trophy contender has put at least four shots on net in eight of his last nine contests and 17 of his last 19 games since the All-Star break. MacKinnon’s 106 shots on net during that 19-game span are far and away the most in the NHL as he’s averaging 5.58 shots per contest.
The St. Louis Blues have won four straight but have given up their fair share of chances over the last couple weeks, averaging over 34 shots against per game through their last eight contests. That said, MacKinnon should find plenty of space out there tonight and put at least five or six shots on target.
My best bet: Nathan MacKinnon Over 4.5 shots (-135 at DraftKings)

Nathan MacKinnon Over 4.5 shots

MacKinnon Over 1.5 points

Under 6.5 goals

Along with his shot prop, I’ll also take MacKinnon to tally Over 1.5 points for tonight’s same-game parlay. The Avs center has been on a scoring spree, notching at least two points in five of his last six games.
Finally, I’ll look for these clubs to cash the Under on 6.5 goals. The Under is 7-0-3 in the Blues’ last 10 games while the Avalanche have cashed the Under in six of their last nine contests.
