My Jets analysis
The St. Louis Blues are the story of the season right now. They’ve won 12 straight games to catapult themselves to the top Wild Card spot, but they haven’t exactly been playing amazing hockey.
St. Louis has only beaten three playoff teams during this streak (Minnesota, Montreal, and Colorado twice), and its 5-on-5 Expected Goals Share is in the bottom half of the league at 49.43% since March 15. That drops to a 10th-worst 47.01% in the last 10 games.
On the flip side, the Winnipeg Jets lead the league with a 59.25 xGF% at 5-on-5 in their last 10 games despite going just 6-4-0.
Another thing the Jets have going for them is their mighty impressive 28-6-4 record on home ice, and they’re 43-15 when Vezina Trophy favorite Connor Hellebuyck starts, as he should tonight.
The Blues are a respectable 20-14-4 on the road but only 15-15 as road underdogs, and they’re 12-17 this season against teams that win more than 55% of their games.
The Jets should still be motivated heading into the playoffs as they attempt to hold off the Dallas Stars for the Central Division and the West’s top seed.

The Jets are rightful home favorites against the Blues. The Jets’ odds have gone up a bit since opening closer to -160 and could continue to rise if Connor Hellebuyck is confirmed to start.
Nikolaj Ehlers could also be ready to return from his lower-body injury, so keep an eye on lineup news throughout the day.
The total is at the usual 5.5 with Over 5.5 (+105) and Under 5.5 (-120). That’s not too surprising given these are two teams that trend toward the Under this season.
