As we enter September, we are right on the doorstep of all the hockey we’ve been waiting all offseason for. While junior leagues are already fully into training camps and season preparations, NHL teams will ramp up their activity shortly as they get set for prospects to report for rookie camp in under two weeks.
Most NHL teams – as of right now, 30 of them – will have their young players engage in rookie tournaments or showcases taking place across the continent. As of today, there will be 10 different events held from Sept. 11 to 15 with varying formats.
Some things have changed heading into this season, including the end of popular rookie tournaments in Penticton, B.C., and Traverse City, Mich., and a few more reformatted
