OHL Live
Seventeen former and current OHL players are suiting up for the 18th annual Boots and Hearts Barn Burner charity hockey game, set for August 6th at 6:00 PM at Sadlon Arena in Barrie, Ont. They’ll be lacing up their skates alongside NHL and PWHL players, retired pros, and local celebrities, all united by a goal bigger than the game – giving back to the community.
This year’s star-studded roster features names likes Toronto Maple Leafs alternate captain John Tavares (London Knights), hometown heroes Jessie Eldridge and Isaak Phillips (Sudbury Wolves), LA Kings centre Quinton Byfield (Sudbury Wolves), rising NHL sensation Michael Misa (Saginaw Spirit), and many more elite talents ready to light up the ice.
“The Barn Burner is more than just a charity event,” shared Barrie Mayor Alex Nuttall.
“It’s one of the most exciting nights of hockey you’ll see all year. With NHL and PWHL players sharing the ice, fans can expect fast-paced action, incredible skill and a whole lot of giving back to incredible charities. It’s a celebration of the game and the community that rallies behind it.”
The one-night-only spectacle raises essential funds for local organizations including the RVH Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), John Tavares Foundation’s youth programs, PIE Education, the Rotary Club, and many more charities that make a real impact in the lives of residents across the region.
In 2024, the Barn Burner raised over $408,000, and with tickets already 90% sold out, organizers are aiming to surpass that total this year.
And a major part of that success? The talent it brings together. Here’s a look at the 2025 Barn Burner rosters that will hit the ice:
