After a 72-game regular season, the 2025 Calder Cup Playoffs have finally arrived, where 23 teams out of 32 square off to win the biggest prize in the AHL. After two rounds, the best teams in the AHL, including the top two seeds from each of the four divisions, made it into the conference finals.
Every season, the best teams in the AHL go head-to-head in a multiple round tournament to earn one of the top honors in the sport of hockey.
Heading into the tournament, the team with the most points from each region earned the top seed and a first-round bye, giving them an express pass to their division’s semifinals. Those teams were: Milwaukee Admirals, Colorado Eagles, Laval Rocket, and the Hershey Bears.
The Hershey Bears currently hold the record for hoisting the Calder Cup more than any other team—13 times, including the last two over the Coachella Valley Firebirds.
