"You're dealing with 17-year-olds, so they're going to change so much over five years," he said. "I had someone text me yesterday saying, 'Remember, it's a five-year process (with draftees).' That's why I laugh when I get my C-pluses and my A-minuses. It changes year to year. It gets comical to a degree."

In the 2024 NHL draft, there were an NHL-record 27 players selected who stand 6-foot-5 or taller, according to the NHL. So far this season, through five rounds, 25 such players have been picked.
