Two years ago the Rivalry Series between Canada and the United States was still a seven game series and one of the lone options to see best-on-best hockey in North America.
After reducing the series to five games in 2024-25, the Rivalry Series will be even shorter this season being reduced to four games.
USA Hockey was first to release their dates for the series, which will be played in its entirety in November in the USA, and December in Canada.
Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, will host the opening game of the 2025 Rivalry Series on November 6, while KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York will host game two on November 8.
The PWHL has yet to unveil their 2025-26 schedule , but last year the league opened in the days following the first stop of the Rivalry Series. The league will be forced to take a month long pause in 2026 for the Milano Cortina Olympics.
Canada won the 2024-25 Rivalry Series in a deciding game five win over USA in Summerside, PEI. USA however, exacted their revenge when it mattered most winning gold at the 2025 World Championships in Czechia.
