If the No. 1 overall Winnipeg Jets are to stave off elimination as the Toronto Maple Leafs did on Friday night, they will have to change their road fortunes.
The Jets lost all three road games in the first round against the St. Louis Blues with goalie Connor Hellebuyck being pulled in each game. They played better in Dallas in the second round but lost both of those games to drop to 0-5 on the road. The road losing streak is nine games stretching back to 2023.
“Every streak ends, whether it’s a good one or a bad one, and we’re planning to do that (Saturday),” coach Scott Arniel told reporters.
If the Stars win Saturday, they will make their third consecutive Western Conference final appearance and face the Edmonton Oilers. If the Jets win, Game 7 would be Monday night in Winnipeg.
Here’s what to know about Game 6 between the Dallas Stars and Winnipeg Jets:
Game 6 of the Stars-Jets series is at 8 p.m. ET in Dallas.
