Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand exited during the Original Six club's March 1 matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins early after a scary collision with Pierre-Olivier Joseph.
While Marchand was skating to the corner for the puck, Joseph threw an awkward hit on No. 63. Marchand's head then made heavy contact with the boards, which led to him staying down the ice for a good chunk of time. From there, Marchand was helped off the ice by David Pastrnak and the team's trainer, where he was still in clear discomfort.
The Bruins have since announced that Marchand is unlikely to return to the club's matchup against the Penguins.
With the Bruins already dealing with multiple injuries and Marchand being one of their best players, they will naturally be hoping that this latest injury isn't too serious. In 60 games this season, the star forward has 21 goals and 47 points.
