The NCAA women’s hockey field is down to four teams, and one of them is from Upstate New York.
The Frozen Four begins Friday, March 21 (3/21/2025), at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis.
The NCAA women’s hockey semifinals will be broadcast exclusively on ESPN+. They will not air on cable TV. Sunday’s championship game will air on ESPNU.
Cornell plays in the first game, taking on Ohio State at 5 p.m. Wisconsin takes on Minnesota at 8:30 p.m. in the other semifinal.
The event is sold out but tickets are available on StubHub, VividSeats and SeatGeek.

Here’s a look at the four teams competing this weekend:
Cornell (25-4-5): The Big Red is in the Frozen Four for the first time since 2019 … Cornell started the season 1-3-1 and has only one loss since then … goalie Annelies Bergmann leads the country in shutouts with 10.
Ohio State (28-7-3): The Buckeyes are making their fifth straight trip to the Frozen Four … they have won two of the past three national titles … Ohio State beat Cornell, 7-3, on Oct. 26.
Wisconsin (36-1-2): The Badgers, the No. 1 seed, is in the Frozen Four for the third consecutive season … the team has the best scoring offense in the country.
Minnesota (29-11-1): The Golden Gophers are the fourth seed — the lowest seed still alive in the tournament — but are playing at home … they were 0-5 against Wisconsin this season but two games were one-goal losses.
