The top-ranked Hobart hockey team defeated New England College 2-0 in a New England Hockey Conference semifinal game at The Cooler this evening. With the win, the Statesmen are now 25-1-1 overall this season.
Junior Tanner Daniels and sophomore Dominic Schimizzi scored for Hobart. Senior Mavrick Goyer played all 60 minutes in goal and made 15 saves as he earned his seventh shutout of the season.
Anthony Beaulieu played just over 58 minutes in goal for the Pilgrims. He made 35 saves. New England College concludes their season with an 11-15-1 overall record.
